On September 25, 2017, the finals of the 2017 "Blue Shell Maker Program" IAEC International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition jointly organized by Shandong University and Qingdao Municipal Government were held in Pangu Maker Space in Qingdao High-tech Zone. The competition combines the brand of “IAEC International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition” of Shandong University and the brand of “Blue Shell Maker Program” of Qingdao High-tech Zone. It is one of the few large-scale international innovation and entrepreneurship events across many countries and cities in China. This competition is also an important part of the 2017 "Creating China · Qingdao Station" forum. The forum was jointly organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Qingdao Municipal Government, and Shandong University, and jointly organized by the Qingdao High-tech Zone, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.
Qingdao UTECH Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. obtained the qualifications for the finals through a series of selections such as the preliminary competition and the semi-finals with the independently developed "laser 3D machine vision module" project. In the end, the product was recognized by the judges and investors for its excellent performance, and it stood out from many participating projects and won the "third prize".
The laser 3D machine vision module developed by the company consists of a single-axis infrared laser scanning module, a depth camera and drive control software. The three-dimensional structure of the surface of the object is scanned using the coded grating structured light scheme, and high-precision three-dimensional point cloud information is obtained through camera shooting and algorithm processing, so as to realize the reconstruction of the three-dimensional structure of the object. The laser 3D machine vision module has fast scanning speed, high modeling accuracy, flexible and convenient installation, and can be widely used in artificial intelligence fields such as industrial detection, face recognition, and robot vision.
